We are well aware that there is a small degree of irony about the fact that we are waxing lyrical about knitwear, knee-high boots and coats, while sitting in front of a fan in 30 degree heat. But, in typical over-eager fashion editor style, we’ve relished keeping an eagle eye on the ‘new-in‘ sections of our favourite brands to get a glimpse of what we’ll be wearing in 3 months’ time. Well, it is our job after all. As always, & Other Stories is ahead of the game, dropping tantalising hints of what’s to come.
All your favourite cold-weather heroes are in attendance: Think boots, suits and thick jackets, but we’ve also spotted subtle, but no less impactful, details that feel fresh for 2020. & Other Stories makes a good case for collared knitwear this year, with a grey belted, collared cardi and wide collar wool sweater both jumping to the front of the queue. We’re also enjoying the elegant, elevated basics—such as a luxe sweatshirts, sculptural blazers and a cream-coloured shackets—all of which offer laid-back polish with minimal effort.
