Last Fall, professional driver Kurt Busch made the decision to sign with 23XI Racing — the official NASCAR team owned by Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan. With his first season signed to the Jordan Brand officially underway, the imprint has prepared something incredibly special for him to get behind the wheel of for the AdventHealth 400 this weekend at Kansas Speedway: a race car inspired by the classic Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement.”
The sneaker’s signature elephant print immediately captures your attention here as it decorates the sides panels and tips of the hood. Bulls-inspired red accents outfit the oversized Jumpman logos that adorn the hood and sprawl in small fashion around the Toyota-manufactured car and the various “45” hits on the roof and side panels. To further mimic the aesthetic of the retro kicks, a glossy black paint is utilized as the backdrop which speaks to the premium tumbled leather uppers. Extra brand sponsors such as McDonald’s and Monster Energy also get their insignias slapped onto the sides for extra flair.
Expect to see Busch revving this automobile up in this weekend’s 400-miler race.
