2024 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Hybrid Gets a New Face for U.S. Launch

2024 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Hybrid Gets a New Face for U.S. Launch

While the exact U.S. model details of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance have yet to be revealed, Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that the model will be arriving in the States in 2024. The 831 hp hybrid is expected to carry with it the same body styling as its updated European counterpart.

This would include a refreshed grille with a black intake, presumably inspired by the latest AMG GT Coupe. Additional design elements include a carbon fiber-esque rear diffuser and lower bumper, as well as the controversial “E Performance” nameplate.

The vehicles feature list was also updated for European markets, although it’s yet to be seen if this will be carried over to the States. As it stands now, there is a standard electric sunroof and wireless phone charger option for the rear seats, as well as a Burmester speaker system standard that utilizes Dolby Atmos spatial audio.

As for what’s under the hood, there don’t seem to be any major changes planned — the AMG GT63 S E Performance features a hybrid powertrain consisting of a twin-turbo 4L V-8 paired to an electric motor, producing an impressive 831 hp distributed to all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic gearbox.

Beyond this, the only other update known at the time of writing includes a new color option, Opalite White Metallic, however, more information is expected to be released via Mercedes-Benz official channels soon.

Elsewhere in automotive, Sotheby’s is set to suction Lewis Hamilton’s first race-winning Mercedes-Benz F1 car.
