If you were disappointed when Ram announced its blacked-out Night Edition package would only be available on Big Horn and Laramie trim levels, fear not. Ram has heard your pleas and will offer the Night Edition on the luxurious Limited trim for the 1500, 2500, and 3500.
Like the Night Edition trucks before it, the 2021 Ram 1500 and Heavy Duty Limited Night Editions receive dark-colored exterior accents including black wheels, grilles, exhaust tips, headlight and taillight bezels, mirror caps, and badges. Ram 1500 Limited Night Editions can be had with either 20- or 22-inch wheels, while Ram HD Limited Night Editions receive 20s with single rear wheels or 17s in dually form. Inside, you’ll find all the luxurious appointments of the Limited trim, including leather upholstery and a standard 12.0-inch Uconnect touchscreen, plus a 19-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system.
A bulging sport performance hood similar to the one found on the Rebel comes standard on the 1500 Limited Night Edition. Additionally, both 1500 and HD Limited Night Edition trucks get body-color bumpers, a tri-fold tonneau cover, and front tow hooks.
The 2021 Ram 1500 and HD Limited Night Editions are available with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive and have the same drivetrain options as the standard 1500 and HD Limited models. In the case of the 1500, those include a 3.6-liter V-6 with eTorque mild hybrid tech, a 5.7-liter V-8 with or without eTorque, and a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 good for 480 lb-ft of torque. HD buyers can choose from a 6.4-liter V-8, 6.7-liter Cummins turbodiesel inline-six, or a high-output version of the Cummins on the Ram 3500 that makes a whopping 1,000 lb-ft.
The 2021 Ram 1500 Limited Night Edition starts at $61,740, while the HD Limited Night Edition starts at $64,625. Both trucks will hit dealer lots starting the third quarter of 2020.
