A few years ago, if you’d asked me about my opinion on buckets hats, the response wouldn’t have been a positive one. My only association with the item was primary school in Australia, where a strict “no hat, no play” rule was enforced daily, meaning that if you didn’t have a wide-brimmed hat atop your head, you weren’t allowed outside during recess or lunchtime.
However, while the item might have played somewhat of an antagonist role in my youth, bucket hats seem to have had quite the makeover in recent years, going from dreaded item to fashion must-have.
