There’s nothing quite like the inexplicable satisfaction of a really good outfit. Sometimes it can be hard to put your finger on what it is exactly that makes something work: It could be a clever colour combination, an unexpected silhouette, or even a subtle trim on a pair of trousers. As a fashion editor, it is my job to keep an eye out for these winning ensembles. It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it. We even have a channel on Slack that is literally dedicated to great outfits, and boy, are there plenty to choose from.
This story is essentially a line-up of all the fabulous outfits that have been given the Slack-channel seal of approval. I find that the looks that stand out to me are often relatively simple in composition but pack a punch via colour, print or fabric. Tonal dressing is the perfect example of this, and many of my chosen outfits go with the colour-match approach, be it mint green or zesty orange. It’s so simple yet so effective.
