10 of the most followed luxury fashion brands on Instagram

Under the helm of former Bottega Veneta designer Daniel Lee, the British fashion brand scrubbed its socials earlier this year as it enters a new era with the return of its historical equestrian “Prorsum” logo.

6. Dolce & Gabbana – 30.7 million

Consistent posting and an array of different kinds of content, from red carpet looks worn by celebrities to residential project updates, have made Dolce & Gabbana the sixth most followed luxury fashion brand on Instagram.

5. Prada – 33.1 million

Prada took the top spot in the Lyst Index’s hottest brands for the first quarter 2023, as searches for the Italian luxury house rose by 22 per cent in that quarter. Alongside being a key player on Chinese social media platforms, the Italian luxury fashion house also comes in fifth with 33.1 million followers on Instagram.

4. Dior – 45.4 million

Dior places high on the list with 45.4 million followers on the platform. The French luxury maison’s feed often features an aesthetic and carefully curated series of campaign images and videos as well as magazine covers.

3. Gucci – 52.6 million

As a long-standing supporter of the Lacma Art+Film Gala, Gucci has just presented its first-ever evening wear collection designed by creative director Sabato De Sarno. With a consistent theme of its logo on its feed images, the Florence-based house has amassed 52.6 million followers on the platform.

2. Louis Vuitton – 54.7 million

Sitting second on the list with 54.7 million followers is Louis Vuitton. Not only is its wide array of products showcased, there’s also a balance when it comes to strategic storytelling. And unlike many brands that delete their social media posts during a revamp, the esteemed French luxury maison distinguishes itself by preserving all its past content dating back to 2015.

As of November, Chanel has the most followed account of them all, boasting a staggering 59.2 million followers. With close to 6,000 posts, the feed exudes timeless elegance and offers a peek into the brand’s DNA.
