070 Shake Announces ‘Petrichor’ Album, Drops Off Dual-Minded Lead Single

070 Shake Announces 'Petrichor' Album, Drops Off Dual-Minded Lead Single

070 Shake has officially announced Petrichor, her first studio project since 2022. Yesterday, Shake surprised fans when she dropped off a snippet of the album’s lead single – and this afternoon, she followed up once more with the full release of “Winter Baby / New Jersey Blues” as well as a confirmed release date on Petrichor.

Set to drop on November 15, Petrichor marks the musician’s first full-length offering since her sophomore LP You Can’t Kill Me, and features a black-and-white facial-resembling cover art.

The two-part lead single kicks off with the retro “Winter Baby,” which finds Shake crooning about her lover, Lily-Rose Depp. Accompanied by a Bennett Watanabe-directed music video – which stars Depp herself – the track’s old-school energy carries over into the captivating visual as well.

About halfway into the two-and-a-half-minute track, “New Jersey Blues” kicks in. Carried by a synth-heavy melody, Shake continues to serenade Depp as she dances on the stage. “New Jersey Blues / My baby gets me through / Cherry syrup medicine cures nightmares too,” she delivers on the chorus.

Per Spotify’s listing of the album, Petrichor is set to round out at 13 tracks.

Stream “Winter Baby / New Jersey Blues” on Spotify and Apple Music now, and stay tuned to Hypebeast for more updates on Petrichor – dropping everywhere on November 15 – as they transpire.
